In 2017, Ruben, founder of FLASKE, was harshly confronted with the consequences of our mindless use and disposal of plastic when visiting various beaches in South-America. What were once stunning sights of nature, had been turned into environmental nightmares. Ruben transformed his heartbreak into a clear mission — reduce plastic waste, raise awareness, and save our oceans. Now FLASKE’s assortment consists of a large variety of product that are relevant to the daily life of the modern human. Besides being eco-friendly, the products focus on personal wellbeing and promote a healthy lifestyle. By making use of high-quality materials such as stainless steel and natural materials such as bamboo, FLASKE wants to provide products that are durable and can last a lifetime. By providing easily adoptable longterm solutions to environmental problems, FLASKE hopes to empower people to make conscious decisions and promote the change we so urgently need right now. Change that involves everybody! Besides working on the prevention of plastic waste pollution, FLASKE actively supports the restoration of our oceans by donating 10% of the annual profit to The Ocean Cleanup, Dutch environmental engineering organisation that is developing advanced technologies to rid the oceans from our harmful plastic waste.
