EGETRA werd in 1984 opgericht als dochterbedrijf van de firma Bekaert. Sinds 1987 is EGETRA een volledig onafhankelijk bedrijf gespecialiseerd in een aantal producten gemaakt uit draad. EGETRA werkt hoofdzakelijk op exclusieve basis samen met fabrikanten die in hun branche wereldwijd marktleiders zijn waardoor wij steeds garant kunnen staan voor kwaliteit. Gevlochten schanskorven en matrassen zijn gemaakt uit zeskant vlechtwerk. Verschillende afmetingen, maastypes en uitvoeringen zijn beschikbaar. Ze worden vooral gebruikt bij waterbouwkundige projecten zoals oever- en taludbescherming, alsook in de wegenbouw, hoofdzakelijk als steunconstructie.
