Codex standard CXS 289-1995: Codex standard for Whey Powders 6.2 Carbohydrates Carbohydrates used shall be gluten-free and readily soluble in water. Fructose shall not be added. Glucose or lactose polymers are the preferred sources of carbohydrate and should be pregelatinized (e.g. maltodextrin).
